SIG Celebrates 10 Years
A Decade of Impact and Growth at Social Interest Group
Read moreWe understand that homelessness is a complex issue. Our accommodation-based housing and floating support service is a specialist hub explicitly designed for single people experiencing social exclusion and homelessness in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Our primary goal is to interrupt the cycle of homelessness and mitigate potential barriers to engagement with support services for people with additional support needs. Our service works with people in contact with the Criminal Justice System, people who may need support with their mental health, challenging behaviour and substance use and refugees.
Our mixed-gender service can support up to 146 people. It extends across four service clusters across the borough, offering 143 accommodation units and a hub setting. These spaces create a safe, trauma-informed, supportive environment that delivers relational support and in-reach services to help reintegrate people into the community.
We work closely with other external agencies and local vital service providers to achieve productive interaction, enhance the quality of relationships and facilitate cooperative behaviour to help people rebuild their independent living skills and prepare for the next part of their journey. A range of coproduced group activities are integral to our support programme to unlock their potential.
Adults experiencing homelessness with multiple and complex needs, including mental health, substance use and interactions with the criminal justice services.
