An intensive support rehabilitation and step-down service provide medium and high-support care for adults with complex mental health support needs.
In Enfield, our rehabilitation unit and step-down service provide medium and high-support care for adults with complex mental health support needs. Services are geared towards recovery and independence. Support focuses on moving people from a complex care inpatient rehabilitation service/Acute Mental Health Ward and, where appropriate, a residential environment into an intensive rehabilitation arrangement, working closely with the Mental Health Trust Community Rehabilitation.
This intensive support service provides ten units of supported accommodation and specialises in helping people with behaviours that prove challenging to services, such as mental health medication compliance. A further 12 units provide move-on supported accommodation from the intensive support service, offering an alternative to existing residential care provision. The transition further enhances life skills and independence while maintaining a tenancy in a 24-hour supported, safe environment.
Adults with complex mental health needs who may also have mental health and medication non-compliance.
Referrals are through the Enfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Enfield Community Rehabilitation Team (ECRT).
