Service description
The SIG Penrose Mental Health Floating Support (MHFS) service delivers support to individuals living within the community who have support needs pertaining to their mental health and wellbeing. The service works alongside statutory services, with the aim of moving people on to independent living within two years. The service is aimed at:
- Men and women, aged 18+
- Should have a primary mental health need, including complex needs and dual diagnosis
We signpost to relevant agencies, and we work closely with the East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) Community Mental Health Teams to maximise their life opportunities and enhance their recovery, depending on their specific needs.
Referrals are via the East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) Luton Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), as well as other services and local organisations. All referrals are assessed by a panel involving the property landlords, a senior representative from ELFT and a member of the MHFS team.
