Gill started her career at 18, opening and running two women’s refuges in the early 1980s. Since then, she has volunteered in several voluntary organisations. She was a Trustee for various supported housing services for prison leavers, mental health and learning disability services.
She worked for Shelter for over 13 years, including development and senior management roles. She then worked as Director of Operations and Development for a registered housing association. She moved on to Turning Point as Director of Business Development, specialising in developing and providing substance use, mental health and learning disabilities services for vulnerable adults.
A strong leader with vision and strategy, Gill secured a large part in the London CRC for Penrose Options – a contract supporting people in the London rehabilitation prisons and 4,000 people in the community annually.
