How We Create Change

Our experienced team provides flexible, person-centred support that meets people where they are.

  • Immediate Crisis Prevention

We respond to all referrals within one working day, addressing urgent issues like eviction notices, benefit sanctions, or utility disconnections before they become insurmountable crises.

  • Holistic Support

Rather than focusing on single issues, we work with people to understand the complete picture of their challenges and strengths, creating personalised support plans that address their root causes.

  • Practical Life Skills

From budgeting and benefits navigation to tenancy management and health appointments, we help people develop the practical skills they need for independent living.

  • Part of the Community

Our relationships with over 200 local organisations mean we can quickly connect people with specialist support for mental health, domestic violence, substance use, or learning disabilities.

  • Flexible Delivery

We meet people at their preferred locations—homes, cafes, or community spaces—making support accessible for those who find traditional office services difficult.

  • Expert Advocacy

Our team offers expertise in benefits systems and housing law, advocating with landlords, councils, and agencies for professional representation to resolve complex issues.

Benefits to the Community

Every person we help maintain their tenancy prevents potential costs of thousands of pounds in emergency accommodation, social services intervention, and health crises. Homelessness costs local authorities an average of £24,000 per person annually, while our early intervention approach costs a fraction of this amount.

Our prevention-focused model reduces pressure on overstretched emergency services. By addressing mental health, housing, and benefit issues early, we prevent the escalation that leads to costly hospital admissions, police call-outs, and emergency housing placements.

Through our partnerships with over 200 local organisations, we strengthen Luton’s entire support network. Our role as a trusted connector means other services can focus on their specialisms while knowing their clients will receive wraparound support for housing and practical needs.

The people we support become more resilient, independent, and able to contribute positively to their communities. Many go on to volunteer, help others, or engage in employment and training, creating positive ripple effects that strengthen neighbourhoods across Luton.

  • A lifeline across Luton

Every year, we provide tailored floating support to around 800-1,000 people in Luton, with flexible backing ranging from crisis intervention to long-term empowerment over up to two years.

  • Proven success in preventing homelessness

96% of people we support are able to maintain their existing tenancy, and we respond to 100% of referrals within one working day, ensuring no one faces a crisis alone.

  • Your support helps bridge the gap

As demand for our services grows due to the rising cost of living, we need additional funding to maintain our rapid response times and intensive support model to keep people in their homes and communities.
