We specialise in supporting individuals facing housing instability and those at risk of homelessness. Our trusted team works closely with Luton Borough Council’s Housing Solutions Team to deliver tailored support that empowers individuals towards independence and long-lasting tenancy success.

 

The Single Homeless Outreach Support (SHOS) pilot is designed specifically for single applicants who are currently without secure accommodation yet posses the potential to live independently. Through our personalised support plans, we help individuals build the skills and confidence essential for maintaining stable housing while enhancing their overall wellbeing.

 

Our approach is focused on empowering individuals to take charge of their housing journey, develop self-sufficiency, and smoothly transition into secure accommodation, equipped with the necessary tools and support to flourish.

What We Offer:

This innovative pilot project offers floating support across Luton, tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Our offer includes:

 

  • Comprehensive needs and risk assessments to develop personalised housing support plans
  • Coaching on independent living skills, including budgeting, daily routines, and tenancy responsibilities
  • Support with financial literacy, welfare benefits, and accessing a variety of resources
  • Guidance and coaching for property viewings, tenancy setup, and making a new property feel like home
  • Monthly check-ins following move-in to ensure tenancy sustainability and proactively address any emerging issues
  • Connections to suitable accommodation through relationship-building with landlords, serving as your single point of contact for all housing inquiries
  • Encouragement and support to successfully transition into secure accommodation and end homelessness for good

Eligibility

Our service is available to single adults who have a housing-related support need, are at risk of homelessness, and are capable of living independently.

Referrals path

All referrals should be made through the Luton Borough Council’s Housing Solutions Team. For access to our support, please contact the Housing Solutions Team and request a referral.
