Read moreThe RPF represents the voices of the people we care for and support across SIG and the diversity of this community, particularly those with protected characteristics. It works to ensure that all SIG services consider their needs and priorities.
The RPF has a significant role in designing, developing, and improving our services and beyond, feeding into the government’s consultation on proposed changes to the Mental Health Act. They influence our language, moving us away from ‘client’, ‘patient’ and ‘service user’ to recognise those we support and care for as residents and participants.
We are committed to providing SIG resident and participant communities with as many opportunities as possible to have their say in the design, delivery, and evaluation of our services in ways that develop their skills, resilience, independence, and sense of belonging and demonstrate our effectiveness and positive impact on their lives.
