Healing Systems, Not Just People: Healing Health Inequalities

As we prepare to mark International Women’s Day this coming Sunday, I want to take a moment to reflect on the enormous contribution that women make across SIG and our subsidiaries. This day offers an important opportunity not only to celebrate but also to acknowledge the profound impact that our female colleagues have on the lives of the marginalised people we support every day. Whether you work directly with participants, support our operations, shape our services, or lead teams, the difference you make is visible and meaningful. The work you do changes lives, strengthens communities, and helps build a more inclusive and hopeful future.
International Women’s Day is also a moment to reflect on the ongoing inequalities that women continue to face and to renew our commitment to challenging discrimination wherever it appears. With that in mind, it is vital that we hold ourselves accountable to achieve gender parity at all levels of leadership within SIG.
We have made meaningful progress, but there is more we can and should do. International Women’s Day acts as a powerful reminder that gender equality is not just an aspiration; it is an essential foundation for a fair, effective, and compassionate organisation.
