Paul joined Social Interest Group in 2022, leading Criminal Justice Services, including the mobilisation of SIG Penrose’s flagship Independent Approved Premises, Penrose Drive.
People are at the heart of Paul’s approach, building and leading capable teams to achieve quality results. Paul has a diverse background working within Criminal Justice, both in the public and charity sectors. He has held various operational roles in male and female prisons, including writing and implementing national policy, commissioning health services, and leading operational delivery in London prisons. Paul holds a master’s degree in applied criminology, penology, and management from the University of Cambridge.
Paul said: “I am excited to be taking up the position of Director of Services and Support, working with Angela and the other Directors to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our Residents and Participants. I look forward to supporting the Heads of Services to improve quality and achieve the best outcomes for their services”.

Michael Rutherford
Company Secretary and Director of Finance and Resources
Michael joined in December 2017, as Director of Finance and Resources. Michael manages the Finance, Information Technology, Procurement and Housing and Repair Teams and is the Company Secretary for the Group and its subsidiaries.
Jenny Ralls
Director of Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit
Jenny joined Social Interest Group in February 2023 and is a member of the Executive Management Team. Jenny has a background in NHS healthcare and governance and was trained initially as a physiotherapist.
Maria Speight
Director of HR and Workforce Development
Maria joined the Group in July 2022 after investing 6.5 years in her HR career, including gaining her CIPD qualification in HR Management.
Adam Moll
Director of External Affairs and Impact
Adam has spent most of the past decade working in criminal justice in various roles spanning research, operations, policy and business development. His previous employers include the Youth Justice Board, Safe Ground and the Mental Health Foundation.
Greg Tythe
Director of Development, Marketing and Communications
Greg joined in 2016 as Business Development Manager with responsibility for Penrose Options. He oversees the development of new work, fundraising, marketing and communications across the Group.
Angela Henry
Director of Services and Support - Operations
Angela has been with the Social Interest group for 10 years, starting with us as a Volunteer and holding several different positions over the years.

Matthew Costin
Director of Housing and Maintenance
Matthew is responsible for all the Groups housing management, housing income, and our maintenance service. He has the additional responsibility for the strategic development with Michael Rutherford and Gill Arukpe with reporting responsibility to the Board.
