Help Us Lead Change: Become SIG’s Treasurer

Social Interest Group (SIG) is looking for a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. This is a chance to support a values-led organisation delivering specialist services across London, Brighton, Bedfordshire, Luton, and Kent, as well as in prisons in London and Liverpool.

Working through six subsidiaries—SIG Penrose, SIG Housing Trust, SIG Equinox, SIG Pathways to Independence, SIG Safe Ground, and SIG Investments—we provide tailored support to people facing complex challenges, including homelessness, mental health, substance use, and criminal justice involvement.

Our mission is to bridge gaps in local health and social care, helping people move out of hospital, prison, and homelessness into safer, more stable lives.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Experience in the charity, housing, or health sectors is helpful, but not essential. Lived experience as a service user or carer is also valued.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • A strong commitment to SIG’s mission and values
  • Willingness to contribute actively and use relevant networks
  • Respect for the Nolan Principles of Public Life

  • Approx. 4 hours per month

This role is subject to a DBS check, which will be carried out by SIG.
