Standing Together for Social Care Reform

We joined thousands of colleagues from across the sector, marching to demand urgent reform in social care.

For over a decade, social care has been critically underfunded and consistently deprioritised in comparison to the NHS. Despite these challenges, our dedicated staff go above and beyond to deliver life-changing support. As part of the Providers Unite movement, we made sure our voices were heard in Westminster.

The demonstration highlighted four key demands to the government:

  • Equal Recognition – Social care must be given the same status and recognition as healthcare.
  • Urgent Reform – The government’s commissioned review will not report until 2028—action is needed now.
  • Close the Funding Gap – An estimated £8.4 billion shortfall must be addressed to sustain essential services.
  • Fair Employer Contributions – Care providers should receive the same exemption from recent employer national insurance increases as the NHS.

We remain committed to advocating for our sector and championing the incredible work you all do. Together, we will continue to push for the change that social care deserves.
