A service providing short‑term, trauma‑informed support for adults experiencing a mental health crisis or preparing to step down from an inpatient ward. It offers a safe, therapeutic alternative to A&E or hospital admission and helps people transition back into the community in a timely and supported manner.
Our goal is to offer rapid, person‑centred support in a calm, homely and non‑clinical setting, reducing distress and promoting recovery.

For adults at risk of hospital admission but who can be safely supported outside an inpatient ward.
Support can include:


We support adults (18+) in mental health crisis who are safe to be treated outside hospital, as well as those stepping down from inpatient care who need short‑term support before returning home. All admissions are clinically assessed for suitability.
Referrals come through ELFT Crisis Pathway Teams, including CRHTT, CMHTs and inpatient discharge teams. The service accepts referrals 24/7, with decisions made within four hours and discharge planning beginning immediately after admission.
