Black History Month

October is Black History Month in the UK, which began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. But it is now much more than that and has grown in significance to include educating about as well as celebrating black achievements. This year’s theme is ‘dig deeper, look closer, think bigger’ and here at SIG we’ll be celebrating the month in several ways.

There is a wealth of information available on the Black History Month website. Please visit and be educated, informed, engaged and inspired.

This is a time to come together, to celebrate, learn, think and to ACT. Black History is British History.
