Governance & Compliance
Our governance model at the Social Interest Group offers our members support and autonomy.
All our members are represented on the Social Interest Group board and within our executive team. This facilitates connection and development across the group, opens opportunities and reduces duplication.
The Social Interest Group, board of trustees and executive team, together focus on delivering our charitable objectives.
Our Director of Finance, Michael Rutherford, acts as Company Secretary across the group and subsidiary boards. We ensure consistent and high-quality governance practices are applied across the group.
Quality & Compliance
The Social Interest Group has a dedicated Quality & Compliance team who ensure the organisation complies with its regulatory and legislative obligations including Health & Safety and Care Quality Commission as well as monitoring and developing internal policies and procedures.
The Social Interest Group has gained ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation and the Investors in People award. Our founder members, Penrose Options and Equinox Care have health and safety accreditations (Exor and CHAS respectively). The Quality & Compliance team ensures these accreditations are maintained.
The Quality & Compliance team are also responsible for providing performance information by monitoring and maintaining organisational performance dashboards, which demonstrate our commitment to setting and achieving quality standards across the group. Having this dedicated team ensures that the Social Interest Group maintains high quality standards and ensures both staff and service users operate in a safe environment.
