We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and passionate Activities Coordinator to join our SWAY service based in Catford, Lewisham.

This post holder will be working alongside South London and Maudsley (SLAM) and other relevant agencies to support and engage Service User in meaningful activities to enable them to maintain optimal health in other to achieve a long-term positive health outcome and recovery. The Activities Coordinator will create, organise, and develop a stimulating, and engaging programme of activities within the service and support service users on their journey towards recovery and independent living.  You will also be engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure that a holistic package of interventions is available within and outside the service and support service users around assessing them.


  • Deliver 1-1 support, as well as other key engagement activities, supporting residents to further develop their talents and self-belief whilst managing their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Support, inspire, and motivate Service User develop skills around daily living skills to build confidence to enable them to successful step down into a lower support or into a more independent accommodations within the community.
  • Provide robust risk management, sharing information with multi-disciplinary teams and other partners to help keep Service Users safe.
  • Designing and scheduling a holistic programme of activities and interventions for residents
  • Consulting with residents, staff, and key partners to ensure the activities delivered are fit for purpose for the overall health wellbeing of the service users
  • The post holder will work in collaboration with the local mental health partners and other partners within the pathway, the post holder will support all the service users referred to the service.

Experienced Required:

  • QCF, NVQ 3 In health &Social Care or other related disciplines
  • Experience of coordinating and/or delivering activities and interventions to vulnerable people.
  • Knowledge of working in supported living setting
  • Knowledge of recovery focused service provision
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management
  • Knowledge of Social Inclusion agenda
  • Must be able to communicate highly complex and highly sensitive information effectively, to a wide range of people
  • Able to manage emotionally challenging and distressing situations with a potentially volatile service user group
