Service description
Aspinden Care Home (ACH) is a CQC registered Care Home based in Bermondsey, South East London.
The staff are fully trained to care for people with complex needs and/or those with long term alcohol addiction. It accepts those who:
- display very challenging behaviour
- have problems with alcohol
- are too difficult for standard care homes to manage
The service has a national remit and has accommodation for 25 people, male and female, who may have complex or chronic physical or mental health care needs and require 24/7 care and support. Onsite nursing is available.
ACH offers residents the chance to gain stability in their lives and improve their physical health & mental well-being.

Referrals
ACH accepts referrals from across the UK and is able to provide bespoke programmes tailored to each individual’s need.
Aspinden recently moved from being a CQC registered Treatment Service to a Care Home with Nursing to reflect better the long-term stays of many of our residents alongside their higher-level needs of care and support. This resulted in us being under “Requires Improvement”. We can reassure you that our leadership team has acted upon all the areas identified in this report. We welcome your questions on these areas of improvement and are happy to share what we have learned from this feedback and the changes implemented.
