SIG Penrose’s CJS Partners with Reed In Partnership

SIG Penrose’s Criminal Justice Service is pleased to be a lead partner with Reed in Partnership in the provision of CFO Activity Hubs for offenders in Croydon and Lewisham.

Introduction

Reed in Partnership’s HMPPS CFO Activity Hubs provide safe and supportive spaces for offenders to access complementary resettlement services.

This includes individual advice and guidance, peer engagement and development of personal plans to move forward into education, employment, or training.

The CFO Activity Hubs contribute to development of the personal skills and purpose needed to desist from offending and integrate into communities through a multi-agency effort to provide a wide range of engaging activities and developmental support.

Purpose

The CFO Activity Hubs are a supportive, comfortable environment and safe space for offenders to access within their community.

A programme of activities and support is available for all participants. These include sports, arts, relationship building and personal developmental activities, coordinated by our Support Workers.

All activities and support align with sentence requirements and license conditions for individual participants.

Participants use the activities and support available to overcome common barriers experienced by offenders, including:

  • Accommodation
  • Health
  • Finance and debt
  • Relationships
  • Attitudes and behaviour
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Substance misuse
  • Domestic abuse and sex working (women only)

Through regular CFO Activity Hub attendance, offenders can change their lives for the better.

CFO Activity Hubs are commissioned by the Ministry of Justice and part-funded by the European Social Fund.
