Brook Drive Bathroom Updated Thanks to Generous Donation

Equinox’s Alcohol and Substances Detoxification service Brook Drive, now has a fully refurbished accessible bathroom thanks to the kind generosity of AXIS through the AXIS foundation.

Axis secured funding from their board to make much needed updates to the Brook Drive bathroom as part of the repair schedule. AXIS takes corporate social responsibility very seriously and was eager to partner with Brook Drive, due to the experiences of some of their staff. The refurbishment was carried out over a two-week period in May, 2019.

This refurbishment is a demonstration of Equinox’s commitment to investing in people and their environment, through the provision of high quality support and facilities. Brook Drive’s Manager Mark Masterson is delighted with the new facilities and said, “Accessibility is increasingly important for us here at Brook Drive as the complexities of clients have increased. Whilst we have always been accessible this is a welcome update and we now have a great new wet room type shower.”

The bathroom refurbishment is a great example of the importance of partnerships to the social care sector, for achieving best outcomes.

Brook Drive is a CQC registered, residential community drug and alcohol detoxification unit, consisting of 26 bed spaces. The service is open 24 hours, 365 days per year and provides medically supervised alcohol and drug detoxification programmes for clients aged 18 and above.

AXIS is a property services partner that works with building owners, landlords and facilities managers to provide strategic building repairs, maintenance and improvement across all property sectors in the UK.
